SYNOPSIS:

Waste is a comedy about two best mates Max and Joel, who's lifetime diet of Generation X trashculture has shaped their philosophies and equipped them with the subsequent skills to deal with adult life.

Max has reached a turning point in his life when he realizes that his existence has been wasted in front of the TV. When his girlfriend Bhaja falls pregnant, he is forced into making an important decision. Max decides it's
time to grow up and sell his cherished collection of rare and expensive TV related toys to build a nursery for their baby.

So, together with his best friend Joel he takes to the road, headed for the Super Colossal Collector Fair. Max is determined to make $10,000. This is no easy gig though. He has to battle with a psycho nazi, a mysterious smouldering man and a tempting femme fatale who all want a piece of his pie.

Waste looks at how Generation X's whole creed was molded by television and what happens when kids born into a fast food, easy answers, and throw away society, have to cope with the responsibilities of adulthood. (from WebsterWorld Australian Movie Guide)
